Carpentry 101: Building Walls

Get some professional carpentry skills is this special weekend course with Carter.

Students will embark on the project of creating new studio booth walls for MAXT on location at Noone Falls and end the class with marketable skills in carpentry to be able to work on home renovation projects or begin their journey into employment with a contracting company with a portfolio piece.

Over the two days students will work as a team to learn about how to approach a project brief, selecting materials and basic design, building solid and square frames, sheathing and finishing as well as using jigs for repeated work and how to work to a deadline.

10-3 Sat and Sun. There will be a 30min break for lunch each day.

This is a reduced price course as part of our Making Our Move series to build a new home for MAXT at Noone Falls - be part of our future and learn some great new skills! Students will also receive a free MAXT t-shirt and a small trinket as a thanks from us for taking part.
