Get some great new quilting skills in this one week crash course with Patricia!

Students will create a traditional log cabin quilt of their own design - from planning to cutting, stitching the quilt top, quilting a binding. This is a great skill building course for new sewists or those just stepping into the world of quilting.

Students will be able to complete a small lap quilt or table runner sized piece during instruction hours, students are welcome to work in the space at MAXT outside of contact hours and during our weekly Open Studios to complete a larger quilt.

We have an assortment of fabrics available at MAXT but, you will need to mostly use your own. This block can use strips as narrow as 1 ½ inch wide and is an excellent project for scrap fabrics. Please bring an assortment of light, dark, and medium colored cotton fabric pieces to the first class.

Your instructor, Patricia, loves to collaborate with other creators, so feel free to have a project idea of your own and to bring completed or unfinished blocks that you might want to add to your project.
