Urban Sketching is a way of visually recording a place or experience. It is often an activity shared with other artists on location, but it can also be a personal visual record of your life and travels. The drawings are loose and quick impressions done with any medium, but often with pen and watercolor.In this workshop you will be introduced to simple methods of drawing buildings and outdoor environments around Peterborough. You will learn how to create a sketch by understanding shapes, details and color. Basic perspective and simple watercolor techniques will be introduced. Playful experimentation is encouraged and perfection is not required.If you have a portable chair, please bring it along. Simple watercolor and pen/paper supplies will be provided, however if you already have these or other tools you would like to use, please bring them along.
