Monoprinting Workshop

In this workshop students will explore monoprinting techniques to create dynamic surface designs and custom transfers. Students will explore layers and illustrative approaches while experimenting with pattern, texture, mark-making and composition to develop imagery for clay surfaces. 

Using underglaze and slip with printmaking methods, students will learn how to create one-of-a-kind mono prints and transform them into ceramic transfers that can be applied to leather-hard clay. 

This workshop is designed for all levels of ceramic artists who want to expand their approach to surface design. Students will have time to make pieces on the first day of the class, but are encouraged to bring leather hard pieces to the workshop as well.
