Hello all!

Eric the electrician successfully installed a new outlet receptacle and power cord for the L&L (big kiln) on Thursday last week!

I found a broken element in the Skutt that explains why the Skutt (mid kiln) misfired* on Wednesday morning. I was able to repair the break.

Next, I need enough bone-dry pieces to fill the kilns so we can bisque-fire them both. If you have works in progress or have been wanting to make a big batch of pots, now is the time! Don't be shy. :)

*The Skutt reported a misfire about 80 degrees cooler than it should, but the kiln reached a true cone 6 according to the pyrometric cones inside. We do not need to re-fire any of the work that was in the kiln at the time.

Thanks, everyone!
